MSM's reputation was bolstered from the begining of its operations by working with some of the UK's leading insurance companies which led to growth in the sector. Today MSM work in partnership with some global financial services companies and provide all levels of support and development for them.  Some case studies are outlined below:

MSM supports Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Ltd

Strategic partner of the IT Department for software development and support for Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance (London Management) Ltd.

MSILM are one of the world's leading insurers with UK turnover of £350 million last year.  They have been using MSM for all European software development projects including support for the last 5 years, with the exception of two systems, one being their underwriting system which was too big for us to tender for, and the other:

Health check of business critical system leading to taking over support and maintenance of an application called SaBRe, which was written by another company who had since declined to support it. Under their own and FSA regulations MSILM must produce their monthly management accounts promptly, and SaBRe was integral to the process of moving data from their old underwriting system to their accounts system. There is a 3 day window at each month end in which to do so so the system was business critical. MSM were contracted to take on the system and 'fix it' and support it monthly over the medium term until superseded. SaBRe was written in Delphi & SQL Server.

Design and development leading to support and maintenance of several Windows and web-based systems. By way of example, we built a risk management system. This particular project involved the creation of a backoffice Windows application and client-facing website for risk management of their customers' insured premises. The software has been praised by many third parties and is widely seen as the best in their market. The Windows application is written in Delphi for historic reasons and the website is written in Microsoft technologies.

DBA Support of all SQL Servers including routine DBA, backup, disaster recovery exercises, optimisation, patches, upgrades, documentation and contribution to new development projects (hence design, development and support).  We provide remote DBA services for all of their ~210 databases and six servers, including bespoke systems in SQL Server 7 & 2000, Sharepoint db on SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 data warehouse, BI & OLAP databases.

New development in .NET: Business analysis, design, development and support for Tuxedo Money Solutions Ltd (London)

TMS is a startup by the founders of Alpha Telecom, now aiming to become a leading player in the market for pre-paid MasterCards, such as The Sun Money card.  The concept has a modern business model to attract customers and therefore a complete banking platform had to be developed.  We provided consultancy for requirements gathering and writing Use Cases, followed by developing the complete solution.  The project was run on a very tight timescale to meet venture capital targets.  Phase 1 was delivered on time and under budget. Phases 2 and 3 were also on time and budget.  Phases 4 to 8 were all on schedule and budget.
