Intellectual Property Rights
Are you currently tied in to your software provider and have no
access to the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), the source code
or documentation? Maybe the source code is in escrow. Perhaps even
worse you have no formal contract dealing with these matters and
are in dispute with your supplier about ownership of IPR of your
bespoke application.
Do you have an idea for a new system but are reluctant to talk
to anyone due to fear of someone stealing your design and taking
the IPR? Alternatively you could already have full custody of the
IPR but need assistance to support the system and again are
reluctant to share them?
At MSM we realise that your ideas and software systems should
remain yours and our contract will set out that upon payment in
full you will get all intellectual property rights and copyright to
the source code and database together with copies of the source
code and database to protect you against us disappearing.
This is better than any escrow arrangement and quite distinct from
the attitude of many suppliers who want to keep your ideas for
resale or reuse. We don't want to tie you in, we would rather
be kept on our toes so that we have to do such a good job for you
that you want to come back to us, which is why we willingness
surrender the IPR.
If it is 3rd party support of a system you are
looking for then we operate on your behalf and only require access
to all the source code so we can learn the system and document it
fully to enable all of our team to gain the knowledge to support
your system to a guaranteed Service Level Agreement. It will
always remain yours.
The contractual terms should never be a barrier to doing
business with us. We want to build a long term mutually
beneficial relationship by earning your trust.
